Our Inspection Capabilities

Quality & Quantity Inspection
Independent verification of commodity quality and quantity against agreed specifications, shipment documents or commercial requirements. Inspection programs can combine visual checks, representative sampling, moisture testing, mass verification and laboratory analysis.
Representative Sampling
Manual or mechanical sampling supervision designed to obtain representative material for quality determination. Sampling plans are selected around commodity type, particle size, lot size, handling method and the purpose of the inspection.
Loading & Discharge Supervision
On-site supervision during loading, transfer or discharge to verify the identity, condition, handling and quantity of material moving between stockpiles, trucks, rail wagons, containers, warehouses or other custody points.
Pre-Shipment & Cargo Verification
Verification before dispatch to confirm that the presented commodity is available, identifiable and consistent with agreed requirements before it is loaded or released.
Stockpile & Inventory Verification
Independent observation, measurement support, sampling and reconciliation of stored mineral materials to strengthen inventory confidence and identify discrepancies between physical stock and records.

Commodities & Materials

Inspection programs can be tailored to the physical characteristics, value drivers and commercial requirements of each material. Suggested commodity groups:

  • Copper, cobalt, nickel and other base-metal ores and concentrates
  • Gold and precious-metal bearing materials, doré and selected high-value products
  • Iron ore, manganese, chrome and ferroalloy feed materials
  • Lithium, graphite, rare-earth and other critical-mineral materials
  • Industrial minerals and selected bulk mineral commodities
  • Mine products, concentrates, residues, intermediates and stockpiled materials

Quality, Traceability & Reporting

Every inspection should produce evidence that is technically defensible, commercially useful and easy to understand. Every Orelysis inspection is built around clear procedures, representative sampling, documented sample identity and transparent reporting. Where laboratory testing is required, analytical routes are selected to match the material, expected grade range and the decision being made.

  • Independent and impartial field verification
  • Project-specific inspection and sampling plans
  • Documented sample identity and chain of custody
  • Representative sample preparation and analytical coordination
  • Transparent reporting aligned with the agreed scope of work

Our Inspection Approach: Structured. Transparent. Compliant

As inspection requirements vary across projects and no two assignments are identical, every engagement with Orelysis follows a structured, risk-based approach:

  1. Assignment Definition & Scoping
We commence by defining the scope in detail, including commodity type, location, contractual and regulatory requirements, inspection objectives, lot size, schedule, and required deliverables to ensure full alignment from the outset.
  2. Inspection & Sampling Plan Development
We develop a robust inspection and sampling plan outlining approved methodologies, sampling frequency and protocols, quantity verification, chain-of-custody controls, analytical scope, and acceptance criteria in accordance with international standards.
  3. On-Site Execution & Supervision
On site, our expert inspectors supervise material handling and operations, assess and document prevailing conditions, collect statistically representative samples, and ensure traceability and quantity verification with full transparency.
